East End

East End is wonderful--beautiful homes, but a little too edgy for your mainstream Nashvillian. The area is very walkable and many residents are artists and entrepeneurs--people with flexible schedules that like staying in the neighborhood.

As the neighborhood website says, "one of Nashville's oldest and best preserved historic neighborhoods."

Location/Summary

On the north is Woodland St, a residential street that includes restaurants and artsy places.

On the west is 10th St. which is a mix of condos, shops, churches and houses. The next neighborhood to the west is Historic Edgefield.

On the south is Shelby Ave, a main thoroughfare with large homes.

On the east is 14th st and Lockeland Springs.

In the middle is historic homes, 5-points area food/retail and lots of "Historic East End" neighborhood signs.
