Edgefield: the original East Nashville.
The oldest homes and churches are here, and many spectacular homes have survived over 100 years.
It still takes my breath away to drive down Fatherland or Russell or Boscobel towards the city. Straight ahead is the city skyline with the Titan's stadium in the foreground, and on each side of the street are fancy, tall homes and ornate churches.
Location/Summary
To the north is Woodland St., Main St., and the 5-points area with a mix of homes, homes converted to businesses, businesses, and the widest range of food options in Nashville (from Bolton's to Margot's).
To the west is the Titan's stadium.
To the south is Shelby street. Across from Shelby are the Cayce Homes and CWA housing.
To the east is East End neighborhood.
In the middle is the East Park Community Center (newly built, great workout space) and a bistro/coffee shop.
