McFerrin Park mixes skyline views, historic architecture, and cars with loud bass music. It has old sidewalks, history, triplexes, HOPE 6 duplexes, and an old Roxy theatre.
Location/Summary
On the west-side is Dickerson Rd with gas stations, liquor stores, ministries, and plans for redevelopment.
On the north-side is Cleveland St. with Glenn Elementary.
On the east-side is Ellington Parkway that creates a border (with a pedestrian footbridge).
On the south-side is Spring St. and new attractive duplexes where the Sam Levy homes (projects) used to be.
In the midst is a park/playground/ballfields and community center (McFerrin Park). The Salvation Army has some community centers too.
