Shelby Hills an affordable neighborhood convenient to Downtown, Shelby Park and 5-points.
We almost bought our first house here (someone else got to it first), and it seems like a great place to live in East Nashville that's not as expensive. Especially if you enjoy Shelby Park.
Location/Summary
To the north is Shelby Ave., a residential street that takes you Downtown and has large homes on each side. (Don't you love the view coming down Shelby when you 'come over the hill' and you see the city?)
To the west is 11th St. and several blocks of public housing (Cayce homes and CWA).
To the south is Davidson St, which is largely industrial/warehouse/shipping development next to teh Cumberland River.
To the east is Shelby Park--a great, large urban park.
